'your man will stray if you don't do exactly what he wants.' and that's how naomi grew up, a free spirit with this heavy burden on her back. her father never did anything but be loyal to his family. and her grandmother certainly never held it against her former husband that he was gay. her mother reacted in such an intense, irrational way. and passed that on to her daughter. it certainly doesn't help that her husband is quite demanding. he expects his home life to reflect the perfection he grew up with. his mother was the great homemaker. she didn't work. his father was the breadwinner. very traditional. and he isn't at all pleased that his wife works, even though she also manages to go home after a hard day, clean and tidy, and cook a perfect meal. it never feels like it's enough. still, she tries. she comes across as the perfect everything, but it's hampering on her spirit. her escape is her work. she couldn't imagine what life would be like without it. and it's the one area of her life where she actually stands up to anyone who wants to take it away, including her husband. so, naomi needs her lovely friends. i think it's impossible for her not to have friends. she's ridiculously adorable. and she's quite maternal. she loves to take care of her own. she probably babies them a bit, but she means well. i think her friends would be a bit more strong-willed than she is. she's a total doormat. and it'd be nice if she had friends who would be like 'naomi, no, they're just using you'. she's very dependent on her friends. she gets really sad when they're off doing their own thing. she feels like everyone's moving on without her. clingy, much? yes. as for enemies, i can't imagine why anyone would dislike her. maybe she's too nice for some people's taste? that can be annoying. also, her husband is having an affair behind her back. his mistress and he will not be well-liked when it comes to light. as for lovers, she's a married lady. it has it's good days. and she does love her husband, though she wishes he would loosen up a bit. maybe she has past boyfriends. i know she's going to have a thing with seb dunn. so yeah! plot away ^^ |
thanks brooklyn
