LET DOWN YOUR GUARD AND SHOW ME YOUR COLORS It’s been quiet sometime since Haley did anything for fun since lately her life was revolving around two things, her life at school with her friends and her family. Her mom was fine with her husband and her two twins Kaden and Keiran who were great and doing well at school along with her step-father who was at work when she called earlier and talked to her mother asking about everything and anything really since she found sometime and decided to pass it by calling her mom. Haley was also kinda busy with her dad and his girlfriend of a few months, she was probably the one that Haley liked the most according the other women her dad dated after he divorced his wife and Haley’s mom who traveled to New York to start over again over there and a few months after she moved there she found a cute man who helped her with her rent and all until they got married six years ago. As for her dad ever since the divorce he made it pretty clear that he didn’t want any form of serious relationships with any other female; So he enjoys himself by dating a lot of women.
After the little conversation with her mom Haley returned back to her previous work walking into the bedroom she decided to repaint a few hours earlier. The color just looked too dark to her. Haley Archibald stood like she was stuck to the spot in the middle of the empty room, except for some rollers, brushes and buckets of burgundy colored paint. Ever since she had moved in to her own place, Haley had wanted to do her own house all by herself. Since she loved painting, drawing and art in general, how much different could repainting one room be? Or at least that is what she had thought at first. Now that she had gotten paint on the wall, it was starting to look a little strange to her. It was funny how Haley always seemed to change her mind after she had done something about it already. With a sigh, Haley moved the buckets of paint aside so that they were against the wall and went to the bathroom to wash the paint off her hands.
This is how Haley had always been, wanting to do everything herself but then eventually turning around and changing her mind. Some people could call it being a little scatterbrained, since usually that was a good way to describe her. She was organized only when she wanted to be and this was obvious because when she woke up that very morning, the first thing she did wasn't make her bed or eat something. She rushed to her paints and brushes and started moving everything out of the bedroom. And now here she was, deciding whether to go out and get a lighter color for the walls of her bedroom or not. Haley let her long brown hair down from the bun it had been put into, and shook it out a she stared into her bathroom mirror, she looked decent enough to run into the store get a lighter color and get back to finish the task at hands!
Haley headed to her closet that was now placed in the living room after she moved everything out of her bedroom and into the living room so she could repaint the bedroom in that awful burgundy color. She decided to wear a denim shorts, black with a cross tank top, her boots and she was ready to go, she grabbed the keys to her car and walked out to the driveway. Getting in her car Haley started the engine and drove down to the hardware store, luckily for Haley there wasn’t any traffic jams and she didn’t have to stop a lot so she got there quickly.
Parking her car and getting out of it and with a more confident glow around her, the brunette girl went through the entrance to the hardware store and headed for the paints. It was such a hard choice and Haley was definitely picky when it came to colors. She scanned all the colors of red she could find and frowned slightly when she noticed how bright all of the reds were. "No..these just won't work.." she said to herself as her eyes continued to scan every label. This how Haley was... picky. ”What color should I pick…” she murmured again to herself not noticing the hot guy who was nearby.

christmas break was essentially the worst time of sebastian's year, apart from the actual days right around christmas. unlike many people his age, sebastian actually enjoyed his job, liked being around children and essentially having fun all the time. obviously there were parts that he didn't like. giving tests and grading papers were never much fun, but luckily he had chosen a grade that consisted more of art projects and cool science "experiments" than actual hard work. being around kids all the time helped seb to forget the fact that he was getting older and actually gave him a chance to constantly relive his own childhood, which was perfect for someone like him. he got a new bunch of students every year but they never got any older. it was like he was perpetually stuck in second grade for the rest of his life, which was perfectly fine by seb.
the thing about christmas break though was that seb never had anything to do. maybe if he lived somewhere a bit colder there would be fun snow activities to participate in, but living in california definitely had its drawbacks there. sure it got decently cold but there rarely got much snow in moss landing, and certainly not enough to actually enjoy. it seemed that more often than not sebastian was just curled up on his sofa watching old reruns of cartoons or playing video games on his xbox, never even bothering to get out of his pajamas. sure he occasionally went out with friends, but christmas was more of a family holiday and it seemed that most people didn't have much time for friends apart from the random holiday party. not to mention the fact that most of seb's friends worked jobs that didn't give them two weeks off for christmas break. education certainly had its perks/drawbacks, depending on how one looked at the situation.
sebastian had always been a last minute shopper, which is why it was only a few days before christmas and he had been rushing around all morning buying the gifts that he needed. he'd already stopped by some boutiques in the mall to pick up gifts for his mother and sister as well as some of his female friends, which really only left him one gift to get. his father had always been hard to buy for, in sebastian's opinion. they were practically complete opposites. his father had always been the epitome of what a manly man would be. growing up sebastian remembered him always working on cars and going hunting and trying to get him interested in sports (which had never worked). it was the one present every year that seb really dreaded just due to the fact that he never had any idea what to get the man.
after having checked a few random stores that looked promising and ending up empty handed, sebastian had resolved to text his mother and ask her for ideas. sure that meant admitting to his mother that he had procrastinated on yet another christmas, but at least it would save him the shame of showing up with another crappy gift that his father hated. the response had been quick from his mother, telling him that there was some tool that his dad had been ogling over for a few months.
the hardware store wasn't exactly the type of place that sebastian frequented. in all honesty the only time he had probably ever been in there was as a child when his father had dragged him along. the result was a very lost sebastian, roaming up and down the asiles looking for some stupid tool that he had never even heard of and would likely never find if he didn't ask for help. as he looked around, sebastian realized that he had somehow ended up in the paint section. how that had happened was beyond him, but seb looked around for a sale's associate anyways.
instead of finding a store worker, seb's eyes instead almost immediately fell on a familiar face that was browsing over paint colors. a smile immediately crossed his face as he slowly made his way over toward her. sebastian stopped just short of the brunette girl, listening over her shoulder as she spoke to herself about which color to get. "i suggest fluorescent orange. you can never go wrong with fluorescent orange," he offered matter of factly, even though he had no idea what it was she was going to be painting.
